Entries are now open for runners to take part in the 2026 Barry Island 10K, which will take place on Sunday 17 May 2026.

Hundreds of runners have already signed up for next year’s event meaning there’s now just a handful of early bird entries left.

A record-breaking number of runners took part in the 2025 edition last weekend, with thousands of runners descending to the seaside town.

Many of those have already secured their space for next year, so those looking to take advantage of the special launch offer pricing, saving themselves £6 versus general entry, need to act fast.

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at event organisers Run 4 Wales, said: “It was fantastic to be back in Barry and see so many runners taking part in this year’s Barry Island 10K.

“There’s always such a fantastic atmosphere around the town with so many spectators coming out to cheer the runners. A lot of fun was had in 2025, which is why so many of the early bird entries have already been sold.

“We’re very much looking forward to welcoming runners back to Barry in 2026 and are so thankful for the continued support of our sponsors and Vale of Glamorgan Council.”

The R4W 10K Series bundles will also go on sale later this year after the Brecon Carreg CDF 10K. Again, the offer is an equivalent saving to the 10K early bird prices, so there’s no need to worry about missing out if signing up now.
