Athletic activity for runners of all ages and abilities!

Barry Island 10K Junior offers the whole family an exciting opportunity to get involved with the ABP Barry Island 10K. It takes place on the same day, after the main race has got underway.

It’s part of R4W Next Gen; a re-imagined series of family events that aim to inspire a future generation of healthy, active adults.

There are a series of Junior Races on offer; a no-pressure, family-focused Fun Run, a Toddler Dash for those taking their first steps into physical activity and a Future Challengers race for talented young athletes and junior club runners looking for an accessible and competitive race.

So, dig out your best fancy dress, drag along the rest of your family and friends and enjoy the day. Expect a vibrant atmosphere and loads of support from the crowd. Fun Run and Future Challengers race entry includes awesome Junior Barry Island 10K finishers medals plus chip timing, meaning you can check out your official time after the race.

We encourage people to run for our charity partner Tŷ Hafan, a leading Welsh children’s charity that provides comfort, care and support to children with life-limiting conditions, along with their families.
